Trek Colorado 14ers
Colorado holds 53 peaks above fourteen thousand feet — or 58, depending on whether you demand three hundred feet of prominence or just a name on the USGS map. Mount Elbert is the highest at 4,401 metres. Before any of them were surveyed, miners passed round a rumour about a mountain with a cross of snow on its face, and the Hayden Survey found it in 1873.
