Valle de Estós — Batisielles, Escarpinosa y Perramó
✓ Verified against the agency · AEMETA lakes circuit through the Estós valley, visiting three glacial tarns — Ibón Gran de Batisielles, Ibón de la Escarpinosa, and Ibón de Perramó — beneath the granite Agujas de Perramó. The verified real track covers this loop from Parking Estós; extending it into an overnight at Refugio de Estós (further up-valley) is a common variant but wasn't found as a single continuous published track — plan the connector yourself from current park/refuge information.
Safety classification
Snow-free season, roughly June to October; the park ficha even recommends it on hot days because much of the route is shaded forest. Not appropriate: winter and spring, when snow covers the upper basins around the ibones (1,875–2,255 m) and the unmarked Perramó leg — the agency's grading assumes snow-free summer trail conditions. Watch afternoon storms; turn back if time or energy runs short (agency wording).
- ▲Steep final sections up to the upper ibones
- ▲The Perramó extension leaves the waymarked S-3/GR network — steep, cairn-guided terrain
- ▲Mountain weather: the ficha requires warm and rain clothing even in summer
- ▲Long day if all three lake groups are combined: 13+ km and 750–940 m of gain per the agency fiches
Classic Posets-Maladeta Natural Park lake circuit on the waymarked S-3 park trail and GR 11.2 from the Estós parking (1,300 m). Graded strenuous rather than day-hike because the route as named includes Perramó: the agency fiches waymark and grade the trail to Batisielles and Escarpinosa (MIDE 2/2/2/3), but the final leg to Ibón de Perramó is off the waymarked network and steeper. Sturdy footwear, warm and rain layers; no technical gear in summer.
