From Askole, the route follows the Braldu River valley through sandy flats to Paiju (last trees), then enters full glacial terrain past Urdukas and Goro II to Concordia — the amphitheater where the Baltoro, Godwin-Austen, and Vigne glaciers converge beneath K2, Broad Peak, and all four Gasherbrums. K2 BC is a day-trip from Concordia at 5,150m. Restricted zone permits required ($340/person). No lodges — expedition camping only.
