Rescue is a free state service. Search-and-rescue on Volcán Lanín is run by the National Parks ICE brigade and guardaparques, and you are not billed for it.

Travel or mountaineering insurance with helicopter evacuation and medical repatriation. It is not legally required, but APN rescue depends on ranger and brigade staffing and can be delayed, so carry evacuation cover.
