Denali Park Road
Not yet safety-verifiedThe single 148-km road through Denali National Park. Private vehicles allowed only to Mile 15 (Savage River); beyond that, transit and tour buses run when the road is open. Since 2021, the Pretty Rocks landslide at Mile 43.5 has closed the road — Wonder Lake, Eielson Visitor Center, and the iconic Denali viewpoints beyond Mile 43 are inaccessible by road. NPS is evaluating a permanent bridge solution but no reopening date has been announced.
