Trek Kilimanjaro
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 metres, a free-standing volcano you walk up rather than climb. Nothing in Europe is higher, and nothing in the Americas except Aconcagua. In October 1889 a German geographer reached the top on his third attempt; the Chagga scout who guided him, Yohani Kinyala Lauwo, was eighteen, and went on guiding the mountain for seventy years.
