Safe window: hut season, roughly mid-June to late September (book ahead for July-August). Early season, snowfields persist on the 2,400-2,745 m cols and demand ice axe/crampons skills. Not safe as a trek: October to June, when the cols are snowbound — the winter circuit is a ski-mountaineering undertaking, not this route.
