Trek Huayhuash
The Huayhuash is a compact chain of ice peaks in northern Peru, ringed by a circuit that takes eight to twelve days. In 1985 two British climbers made the first ascent of the west face of Siula Grande here. On the descent one broke his leg, and the other, being dragged off the mountain, cut the rope holding him over a crevasse. Both survived.
