The Idea
2026-04-14journal
How it started
Every mountain I've climbed in Argentina has been pointing here. Lanín opened the door. Domuyo proved I could suffer at altitude. Aconcagua base camp showed me the scale.
Nepal is the next step. Not Everest — not yet, maybe never. But the Himalayas. The real thing. Tea houses, prayer flags, 5,000-meter passes, air that barely has enough oxygen to think straight.
Why now
There's never a perfect time. But there's a window — late 2026 or early 2027, October or March. The permits are cheap, the infrastructure exists, and I'm not getting younger or more flexible.
What this site is
A place to plan out loud. Gear lists, route options, budget math, and eventually — video logs, transcriptions, photos from the trail.
