Trek Pakistan (Karakoram)
K2 is the second highest mountain on Earth, 8,611 metres at the head of the Baltoro glacier. An Italian team reached the summit in 1954, and nobody climbed it in winter until January 2021, when ten Nepali climbers stepped onto the top together — the last of the fourteen eight-thousanders to fall in that season. One road reaches these mountains, and it took seventeen years to build.
